NYC Chess Connections, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides collaborative chess and academic tutoring to underserved K-8 students across New York City. With a team of 50 high school mentors serving over 60 students weekly, NYCCC offers virtual lessons, hosts lectures in public parks across the boroughs, reviews games at scholastic tournaments in Title I public schools, and runs an annual in-person summer camp. Now in its seventh year, NYCCC continues to make chess accessible to students of all levels—promoting strategic thinking, perseverance, and meaningful connections through the game.
